Our Lag System is designed for direct attachment into wooden surfaces. Since these cables are only as strong as the lag holding power and mounting material (solid wood blocking is required), they are only recommended for light duty use and not for commercial use. (316 grade stainless steel for superior corrosion resistance).
Wood Blocking
Our lag studs require a minimum of 3 inches of wood blocking.
Pre-drill
Pre-drill your holes to a minimum size necessary. Different woods require different hole sizes. Use of a lubricant such as soap or wax will allow easier installation of a lag into the post. Use caution not to use a material that will stain your posts. Lag hardware should be fully engaged before tension is applied to cables.
