| In some cases the cables can "run around" a corner, in others they should stop at a corner. This is determined by looking at the length of each cable run and trying to break it up into manageable sections. In most cases it is not advisable to have any run longer than 45-50'. |

Special posts are required for stairs to accommodate various angles. Also notice how this deck uses cable spacers between the posts to allow larger post spacing. This can both reduce visual mass and cost. |

| Here a custom corner was needed to support a matching walk gate and to account for the slight jog in the adjoining deck. This type of post adds cost and could be avoided if the cable railing were planned while designing the deck. |
